Any gain from 95 mustang E7 heads?

Im currently doing a head swap on my 95 GT. Im adding AFR heads. My 65 mustang has stock 65 heads. Besides losing compression a little, would there be a big gain in power by using the 95 e7 heads on the 65? i know e7's arent that great in stock form, but wasnt sure how much better if any they are than stock 65 289 heads. thanks!

You'll lose compression if you use them. Stick the AFR's on the classic. :)
Yeah, i figured that they wouldnt yield me anything worth a troublesome head swap, just a thought. the afrs would also be nice on the 65, but the 95 needs them alot more. the 65 is more of a looks car for me, the 95 is all about performance. :D

yeah, well theres alot more mods that arent listed and youre right kinda :) It is the looker of the 2 because it is a 65, a classic you know. but it still sounds mean and runs really good too. but nothing extreme. i take that as a compliment too :)

The E7s definitely are not worth the trouble. Even ported they realistically top out around 280rwhp. Not bad, but yours arent ported.

Have fun getting all the supporting EFI parts for that '95. To be honest, I sold my '89 GT to get away from EFI(and smog tests). It had my current roller motor in it at one time too.

off topic, but just wondering (its been awhile since i flipped through my numerous Mustang books) the 95 Mustang GTS was kinda like the LX model right? It didnt have the options, less weight, etc.? and how can you tell its a GTS? theres no specific badging is there?
