Are they the black ones? Kind of hard to tell by that pic. The middle light housing looks like the black ones but not the outside or inner lights. If you have more pics that would be great. Thanks

My friend has the same exact ones, on his maroon 5.0. They are pretty crappy, the plastic peice that held the main bulb in melted after a few hours of night driving. He sent them back, and got new ones, and they did the same thing, not sure what the problem was, but he got the cleared out ones the next time, and they worked just fine.... I c an get pics if you like.

i have black projectors on my car (already on when i bought it) and i personally dont care too much much for them...but they beat the hell out of some old oxadated stock lenses (especally at night)

Not a big fan myself. I think a new set of stock lenses would look a lot better.I have never heard good things about aftermarket headlights for any car, as far as fit and how well they spread the light.

im in the same boat with everyone else- my friend has em in his black convertible and theyre garbage,theyre made cheap as hell- he's goin back to the originals
Not a fan...and no way anyone should use HID's in these. They do not direct light properly - which makes them illegal with HID and also annoying to other drivers. To use HID's properly, you need to modify light housings with true projectors from a stock/OEM HID vehicle (Acura, BMW, Lexus, etc).
As far as aftermarket lights and fitment, these look nice

I beleive all cars with factory HID's have the auto-leveling feature. When you turn the lights on, you will see the beam start out low, and then raise up to the correct height. This way it keeps the light out of the eyes of oncoming drivers.
FWIW, I can't swear to it.

well i have had these lights for 2 years now and nothing has melted, leaked or anything. granted my car doesn't see any rain , i do wash it often. and i think they look good.

As for the legality of HID's, if the car didn't come with it factory, than it's illegal to retrofit period. If one model does come from the factory with HID's, then a retrofit is legal ONLY if you use the factory parts available. In other words say you have a Focus and want HID's. If you slap an HID kit in your stock headlights, it's illegal and will blind everyone. However, if you take the HID headlights from an SVT focus and use those in your car, then it's 100% legal.
If you take the time to do a retrofit right be swapping in projectors from a a car with HID's into your housings and aiming them correctly, then your lights can have just as sharp of a cut-off as factory HID cars and you may not get hassled as much. You can even have a working high beam if you install bi-xenon projectors. However, HID's in a stock factory housing is just asking for trouble since you are blinding everyone else in the road.
