Just want to say that I really appreciate the info here on this site. Started doing a few things to my 95 Cobra a few months ago. So far, 3.73's, MAC off-road Hpipe, MAC CAI, American Thunder Cat and ASP pullys soon. What I have done has really made this a new car. My question is, what else could I do aside from cam, heads, supercharger, nitrous etc. in other words, nothing major? Don't know if a throttle body or performance chip would be an idea. Open to suggestions.
thanks!

Get the car to hook, and you will suprise a lot of cars.

Drag radials
Subframes
Upper and Lower Control arms
Maybe something like koni adjustables
some springs

Check out maximummotorsports.com

You should have no trouble setting the car up for what you want to do. there's also headers, short-throw shifter, adjustable FPR, the ignition work sounds like a good idea. Not sure how much a bigger MAF or TB will help with just bolt-ons on a cobra, because they are setup pretty well in that dept. from the factory. But do the basic tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Maybe try side gapping the plugs. hope this helps, and welcome aboard,

Lenny

See there......you have been bitten by the......need more power bug. lol.

At this point I think lt's would give you the most gain but then again you just did the mid pipe thing.

You said nothing major but a small cam that would not freek out the pcm would go good with the rest of your Cobra stuff.

IMHO, there's no need to spend money on a larger TB and MAF when the stock head and valvetrain are retained, and the Cobra already has U/D pulleys so I wouldn't do that, either. If you retain the stock heads and valvetrain, close the hood; your work there is done.
Save your money for gas.

Deff. get some headers on there. Cobras have the better flowing GT40 heads so they respond really well to exhaust upgrades. The factory headers are really restrictive so a good set of shorties or longtubes if you prefer will net you some decent power.

I agree with most on here, its not worth spending all the money on TB and MAF, but if you can find one for cheap, get it. I bought Pro-M 77 MAF sensor on ebay for $80 and i actually noticed a decent SOTP difference. But i deff. agree with everyone on here; don't go out paying $300 for one new when you can buy stuff that will make much more of a difference.

Subframe connectors are a MUST. I cannot stress that enough. Get the full lengths with cross braces. You will not be disappointed. Also the stock lower control arms are total crap. Get rid of those for something better. Shocks/Struts will make a huge difference in handling and launches.

There is always another option. Instead of spending money on power mods, you can drop weight on the car. You have an offroad H pipe, so your smog pump is absolutley pointless. Take it out. That should save you about 60 pounds. Then also if you don't use the AC like me, take that out as well. Both of those together will lose about 130 pounds from the front of the car, so turn in will be crisper, less understeer, etc (less weight=more go). Also take out the rear seats if you don't haul people around back there all the time, as well as your spare tire, jack, carpeting in trunk, etc. You will lose approx. 220 pounds when you take all that stuff out.

humm yep you got bit. (funny that is what my liscense plate used to read)
Start reading on everything you can. Find out what you want your car to be able to do and what it will be used for. Street/strip,auto X,drag only, street only, etc. I made a written list for my cobra and i havent even really got started. My last list totaled $30,000 in parts alone on stock block.
Figure out what you want to do with you car and get back with us everyone here is good with tech. info we have either done it or seen it done most of the times. GOOD LUCK!

You should do a cam, it's not that expensive on the whole. Get a custom grind if you're not going to change the rest of your stuff later. You won't notice a difference in the throttle body, and the MAF will be very slight. There's headers lt's or shorties. Do a T-Moss lower intake. Of the mods in my sig the more agressive pullies and gears were the only things worth a damn powerwise. If you're keeping it stock Cobra Jet NJ over on the corral has his sam guido modified rpm extender for sale. Look up GMKllr on here he ran 12.9 as has a couple others with bolt on cobras.
