Any of you guys run without a spare tire?

what do you do?

I am a Marine, aviation ordnanceman, I build bombs, missles, rockets ect and maintain weapon systems on all of our combat aircraft to include the guns from crew served to aircraft mounted to bomb racks and support equipment. Right now I am at a station ordnance so basicly I am a walmart but instead of having stores of dvd's, toys, and stuff I have bombs, missles, and rounds.

I don't think it will help all that much. The weight savings is only if you are looking for a few tenths at the track. Won't make a difference on the street.

I dont think you will gain a FEW tenths just by taking out the spare.
30lbs isnt gonna do much.

I never carry my spare tire with me. Besides, it don't fit since the spare I got is the small one. The calipers and the rotor won't allow it to fit.

I'm in your boat. I have mine sitting in a closet @ home, along w/ the jack. I have 13" rotors up front & there's no way that donut will fit around them. I do have a full size 17X8 spare also in that same closet so if I ever run into an emergency situation I'll just have the wife or a friend come pick me up so I can get my jack & full size spare.

That's a good idea. I need to get a full size spare so that I can call the wife if I get stranded on the go. The stock OEM jack is a PITA to use with my car bacuuse of the side skirts.

thats the 1st thing i do when i get my stangs, yank the spare and jack..i got like 10 sets..lol stacked up

got any 17inch spares you dont' want?
