I found one brief article on it, but it wasn't explained very well. I'm just working on some spreadsheets and want to include that method. I know it's based on cam specs, but that's about it. Does anyone have any information on the subject?
Lol, yeah I spent a couple hours looking for a decent explanation and the best I found was something from the tweecer yahoo group but didn't help much.
So today I downloaded the EEC analyzer. I'm gonna just buy that, it has alot of cool stuff, should be pretty usefull.
Is it possible to calculate spark advance tables? From cam data?? Or is this something that varies by combo too much?
Honestly, up until I rechecked out EEC Analyzer for this thread, I though the injector timing calculator actually was a spark table generator. (I kinda browsed by it fast the first time!) But that's still cool. Gonna start tweecing soon.
The spark tables are pretty much trial and error from all I know. You just have to make sure you keep from advancing it to far within the region of your max torque.
The injector timing, from what understand is based solely on your cam profile. I also understand that it's mainly benificial to those with aftermarket cams and mainly at low load and rpms. Alot of the idle problems we have can be fixed by changing the injector timing table. I'm mainly curious to see how the stock cam calculated out and compare that to the stock injector timing to see if there are any benifits to be had from modifying the stock table somewhat.
