Good point CHris about the codes being useless if the gears have been swapped. I should have quoted SorsCode's post when mentioning the door tag stuff (I was curious to know if the door code and axle tag matched). That would tell ya if the axle is original to the car.......

another aode here with 3.27's. I verified the axle code on the door sticker by doing the turning wheel and counting the driveshaft revolutions method.
