Hi I just got a 96 gt, and I'm planning on ordering these wheels and tires, and
I want to know, if any of you are having problems with this setup , rubbing, clearance, etc. The gt's got the stock suspension now, but I plan on lowering it
1-2 inchs some time in the future, so here goes.

Front 17 x 9 cobra r with 275/40-17

Rear 17 x10.5 cobra r with 315/35-17

Thanks Richard

you might need a spacer on the rear. i have that size up front and it only rubs on full lock on the sway bar. ill probably play with some spacers and see how everything meets up after i get the ride height set how i want it.

Is your car all ready lowered some or is the rubbing at stock ride height.

thanks Richard

So maybe some thing like 275/40-17 on 17 x10.5 in the rear
and 245/45-17 on 17 x 9 on the front

is your car with the 315's lowered in the rear at all ?

Thanks Richard

just go 275 all around. a 245 looks weird on a 9" rim and a 275 is too narrow for a 10.5" rim. a 275 fits perfectly on a 9" rim.

yeah, that is a pretty good setup...if you can find 295's...that is what I personally would go with...but on our body styles, we can't get away with having 315's like the 99 and up guys can...although it does look sweet..
