I've got a '67 convertible, deluxe interior. I'd really like to keep the old school feel, but at the same time I'd like to be able to play my CDs. Changing the indash am is not an option. At the same time, I'd like to install a "modern" stereo system, but I don't want it to be visible (while still being accessible). The passenger dashbox is plastic which would not seem to lend itself to installation. The center console might accomodate something, but does anybody have any experience with this? Or does anyone know of a brand that would allow me to install someplace hidden, say under the seat, and access with a remote?

Thanks.

I know places like MustangsPlus, NPD, Year One, ect sell CD changer systems that use a deck that will mount in your original deck mount. Other then that, you're pretty much on your own. I have seen the glovebox used before, and be very successful, so that is still an possiablity.

have you seen the in-dash CD units from NPD which come already mounted in housing which looks to be a direct replacement for the stock radio housing? I don't think you have to cut anything; just remove the old radio and housing and install the CD player. Looks stock, too.
