Anybody ever opened up a speed-cal to see what's inside?
I'm just wondering how difficult it would be to make one, knowing the gear you'll be using and not having to recalibrate for other gear settings..
Do we know what kind of signals are being passed by the speedo?
In other words, is it a digital signal or analog signal?
If analog is it occillating or steady voltage signal?
I have a feeling if I knew these things I could make a speedo recalibrator fairly easily for very little $.
I guess sometime I'll get out in the stang with the trusty voltmeter and see what's going on...
Thanks!
