Anybody have a good stereo system?

I put a 6-disk Mach 460 in my car, but only use the head unit. The 8 speakers and amp are aftermarket. So I guess it's nOt really a Mach 460 system then.

Mine's good for me, but far from good I'm sure if you're asking an all-out audiophile.

JBL 3.5"s in the dash (wanted Infinitis to match the rest, but that was all I could find)
Infiniti Reference 6.5"s in the doors (you can aim the tweeters on these, which helps fine tune things)
Infiniti Reference 6x9"s in the rear
some sort of Kenwood amp (it's been a while)

and a 12" Rockford Fosgate sub in the trunk. An 8" would probably be perfect but the enclosure is as much for show as it is for performance, so a small sub wouldn't cut it. I just tone down the levels on it and it works out nicely. Plus since it's a convertible, when the top is down I can raise the levels up again and easily make up for the lack of an enclosed vehicle.

You could probably find them on ebay, that is where I got mine. Although I got the Kappas and not the reference and I think they were like 60 bucks shipped brand new.

i did infinity's in the dash alpines in the doors and rear and a sony reciever which at the time was a top of the line reciever from sony..... total cost of like 750 once we were all said and done..... went to a parts swap got a 1500 w amp from apline and my friend procured me a set of 500 dollar competion kicker subs in a box...... i can rattle cars across the street ..... that and out noise most of the brotha's down in baltimore.... good enough for me. alpines are crisp ill say that much the highs and mids will actually hurt your ears if you dont watch out.

with my old stang I use to compete locally ( 1999-2001ish)

I had 2- 15 massive audio subs massive audio speakers amps etc.... hit around 148-149 dbs.... I'm just starting to gather **** for my new stereo but it wont be anything like that .. Currently have a kenwood deck will have 2- 8" massive rw subs and massive audio components ...I only have pic and it's crappy ( car was a 91 lx 5.0L)

So you can fit 6x9's in the back seat panels? Crutchfield is saying the biggest you can go is 6x8 or to use 5x7's. Trying to figure out which speakers to order. Also, do you need to run shallow 6.5"s in the front doors or will the normal ones work. I really don't want to order the stuff I posted earlier then have it not fit.
