Anybody know about the Cobra mass air kit?

Has anybody had any experience with the cobra mass air induction kit? IT's a 70mm mass air, 24lb fuel injectors and a eec-IV. Supposedly the cobra computer will give a more aggressive fuel and timing curve. Is this true? Any impressions good or bad? I don't want to waste $600 bucks if it doesn't do jack for my car. Thanks.

The computer is junk. Better off with stock computer and aftermarket parts.

I bought one before its not worth it though, it doesnt take well to any changes. For the money I would just buy a Pro-M and some after market injectors and a chip. The whole reason I bought it is because I was told it had a mass air conversion wire harness which it does not come with( or at least mine didn't).

I concur...get a Pro-M calibrated for the injectors...chip is not necessary on mostly stock motor...I have seen cars in the 10's running the stock computer.

Checking out this post

I just came accross a complete cobra upper/lower 24 pound injectors/70 mass air sensor all from 93 cobra. Wondering if I can install this setup on my stang and use my stock 89 onboard puter. will I run into problems ?

Yup, gotta have the Cobra computer to successfully run the 70mm mass air....incorrect readings from it will cause problems.
