Unfortunately, you will likely be pulling the engine. Dropping the k member is not easy without a rack, and I am pretty sure you dont have a spare engine support lying around. Pulling it back out will be the easiest method if every attempt to fish it out has failed.

It sounds like you are in good hands as far as technical advice is concerned, so I wont bother to offer anything in that department. I will say, though, that I have at many times (one in particular which STILL causes my blood pressure to rise) been through similar fits of absoulute frustration with one of my stangs. I know the situation sucks, but from what I can gather of your car's specs, you've got yourself a nice ride and it would be a shame to give up on it as close as you are to getting it back on the streets.
Keep the faith brother!! It will all work out and eventually you will be happy with the outcome. Good luck!
it is in the rotating assembly now i think. went to turn it over some more manually and it got tough. backed it off and turned it again to get the same tightness.
so with that said, someone else mentioned a few things im going to try linking together. removing the oil sending unit plug, and using my magnetic extention to grab the wrench, bring it up towards the hole, and use a large speaker magnet on the outside to hold it in place. then i can reach in with a finger and pull the wrench off. thats the plan anyway. still need to go measure the hole from the sending unit and see what i can manage.
