looking for new carpet for my 85 gt and dash dye/paint?.....plannin on leaving center counsole (<----wrong spelling?) out so my question is if i buy carpet from someware is it going to have huge holes under the counsole and ware the shifter is like stock? the 4 banger e brake boot does not come close to covering it upnor does the shifter boot.... and on the dash dyes anyone whoo has used the ... the colors match up right? i want to dye or paint my dash i found a good uncracked one in the junkyard but its faded dont no if i risk messing it up dying it...
anyone buy carpet from 5.0 resto?

I have the carpet and its good. There are no holes to begin with, so you're good there. I also painted my entire interior and i will tell you it is a MAJOR pain. I got very good at it, but you will be glad that you have a dash in there in the mean time, because it will probably take a few tries to get it right. Just dont cut corners, take it apart, do it right. The vents will be tough too, just so you know. the paint itself is pretty good, and the black matches about as well as can be expected for paint to match a dyed hard plastic. the vinyl paint is much better than the other stuff, but you wont need much of the vinyl. i dont havea dash in there in the mean time i only got the one...just afraid of wrecking it...
