i would have done the clutch pedal route, but there was two problems.

1- there is NOBODY else here to help.
2- the damn cable fell off and the pos wouldnt go back on

called it a night and my cousin is going to help me tomorrow with the screwed up back. it might be easier without a transmission, but this isint a race car or something to just tear apart, it is meant to be my dd.

we had done it a couple times before with the transmission in there fine, just a pita by yourself obviously. hopefully tomorrow :nonono:

Here is how we did it on truck trannys, get the trans in as far as you can and it is probably still about an inch short? Put in a couple of extra long bolts to keep it from falling out and have someone crank the engine over while you push the tranny in with your feet.

hey u need some help? i can swing on by if my wife lets me! i have never done an engine swap before but i do them all the time on aircraft. the principles are the same, alignment and taking your time! it also helps to have a few people over to cheer u on and drink all your drinks!

ill trade u my time to help u get it in if u help me get these damn intake valves off LOL!! i even have the tool to get em off.

thanks for all the advice guys.

yeah that is what im planning with the cranking engine part. my cousin is damn good at getting it lined up. hes helped me a couple times.

come on down now though iron, i need something to keep my awake until 4 when he comes over.
