Alll this Canadians & Québecois bashing. I'm very sick of it. Esp. from Stripped5.0... if we were the dudes bashing USA people we would've been banned along time ago... Everytime I try to give out my view of a subject in a thread, the same guys always puts us lower and bash me to death..

Anyone else is getting sick of that **** ?

Yeah you know I am. More than once I was involved in "protecting" our country. I usually dont bother anymore but sometimes I just cant help it and fight back. Thats also when I post my famous picture :owned: . You know exactly which one I'm talking about Damned :D I get reactions instantly and the thread gets deleted.

Stripped5.0 and that Fag Beau are the 2 worst I think in the bashing.

heh yeah i remember exactly what your talking about... thank god Beau is banned but Stripped is the worse now i'm very sick of him

Ehhh, I used to be a little sensitive to the bashing, but I've almost always got some sort of smart assed comeback to any of their "Canadiana" comments. Their comments are usually about our money, our military or our accent…..or something else that’s been beaten to death over the last 20-odd-years and are pretty easily averted. I’m fairly well educated and can be quite articulate when I want to be and have never had a problem putting the bashers in their place. Once you see them start getting belligerent or petty with their remarks, it becomes painfully obvious to them whether they admit it or not (and others reading the thread) that they’ve lost. :D

well americans have a pretty great distain for french peoples.

also even though we are split in our politics we dispise outsiders thinking they know better than us how to view our country

BTW I hate your taxes and socialized medicine but the country itself is mostly très joli

I just came back from 1 week trip to wounderful NY city. Except for peoples that are working for public services, i had pleasant discusions with americans.
Last year i went to Vermont, same thing there. But there s always some morons everywhere and for those you are talking about here and only for them ( i have e few americans friend ), here s this joke from a local stand up:

An international reporter interviewing an americans and asking:
" what are your opinions about the fact that there s people from other country that dont like you very much?"
The americans said:
WHATTTTTTTTT?????????

There s other country?????????

I repeat it doesnt reflect my opinion, i just though it was a bit funny :nice:

Ciaoooooo

Well guys, just be thankful that the worst we get up here is a big snow storm.

I did however come to a conclusion the other day. If any group wanted to take over the USA, it would not be that hard wait for a natural disaster, then let the society crumble on it's own like they are now.

Sickens me to watch the "most powerful country" in the world fall apart when they should be coming together.

And 77Sleeper this is not anti american, this is the obvious truth, given a large scale natural disaster, or terrorist event, the american people would do themselves in rather then stand together. The military would spend it's time policing it's own population rather then defending it's country.

Americans

I have many friends & relatives in the states. My oldest pal is USMC Retired did his 20 and got out! He loves his country, but knows about the rest of the world and can see past the BS! The pride & stupidity in the USA cuts both ways, we have those types here in Canada too, just not as many. When you live in a country thats the bigest bully on the block (the usa is the bigest bully on the block) you only see things one way. CNN is a joke! You only see what big brother wants you to see! We just came back from a weekend in Ohio near the Kentucky state line, now thats bible belt country! and redneck central! but we had a great time. Went to Kings Island and got to see Jerry Springer type's walking around all toothless & hillbillyish. Actully those folks that took the time to ask us where we were from where very nice.

I went on a cruise last december and while having a few drinks, this older guy comes up and sits down with me. Asks where Im from I said "Montreal"... "Ohh Canada eh.." Im like wtf is that supposed to mean. He went on to tell me how the US was going to take over Canada in the next 10 years. He went on and on, I let him didnt challenge anythign he said but I was realy insulted. After he was done I shook his hand and said "See ya in 10 years" and walked away.

We hate our taxes too, but leave our socialized medical alone, I deal with several american trucking companys and for what some of you pay for medical insurance per month in the US, I could make payments on a nice new car. You think our taxes are rough well not compared to forking between $400 & $500 a month for family medical coverage like some of you guys have to. The reason I think that way is I don't see it coming out of my pocket per month in the form of a payment to an insurance company.

Its lost in the taxes and even if the goverment goes private they'd never give up the portion we pay extra in taxes back to us, they'd keep it and we just have to fork out the extra cash for coverage.

I'll agree with the distain for French people in general, I'm not sure what my Quebec counterparts have done down there to warrent it, but its true sad to say. I've seen it first hand in Orlando & North Carolina.

That's not the first time I hear that... i heard it several times here from Stripped.50 :nonono:

People are people.

I like going to Ottawa it reminds me of San Diego in Cali - I mean it's a big city that acts like a small city and I like that about Ottawa. I meet people from Sanair to Kingston and liked everyone. Sure they had a joke or two about the US or even Canada, but I know they are joking. Once you start talking politics or religion you are always going to end up in a verbal fight and someone will alway's end up with hurt feelings no matter where you are from. I meant a girl from Qeubec a couple weeks ago that thought all Americans were stupid and knew nothing about Canada - I guess there is this show in Canada that has this guy from Canada that goes to the States and asked questions about Canada and every redneck down south goes "Where's Canada?" - well I guess that's funny, but not every American is that way.

As for New Orleans - it was a disaster (cat 5 hurricane) and it formed off the Gulf in just a matter of days - enough said.

As for the American saying "we are going to take over Canada in the next ten years" was only joking, so don't take idiots like that to seriously - it was a joke.

If someone makes fun of you because of where you are from I usually just laugh with them or I pay them no attention, because it won't make sense to talk politics (you can't change their minds).

Me too I am tired of everyone bashing everyone, why cant they just live with each other instead of being racist. I see that a lot at work, it SUCKS ;)
Anyways what I dont like about our country, is the taxes, and I just cant understand why do we have to pay that much for gas when we have the largest oil resource in the world, beats me.

I think good natured ribbing will always be the case between Canada and the USA. Heck we even have that rivalry between local towns and citys [ Regina-Saskatoon for example] Of course there are always a few idiots that try to go out of thier way to stir up trouble, but that's always going to be the case.
I'm just greatful that the U.S. lies on the other side of the border and not a country like Iraq.

I take it with a grain of salt. Just like the previous post, if you let that stuff get to you, you'll only hurt yourself, it's all jokes. I'm in ontario, lived in Canada my whole life, and I STILL crack jokes at my own country, it's a way to keep sane.

Think about it, our country's leader will never need to worry about getting assassinated, our Prime Ministers only have to worry about getting pies slapped in their face.

On the other hand, the US will never have a country's leader that has single handedly CHOKED out intruders that invaded his home.

GO CHRETIEN! GO CANADA! :canada:
