anyone ever replaced a trans on a dodge caravan?

They are not too bad. I did one a few years ago in high-school and it only took me and a couple other high-school kids like 3 hours to get the entire engine/tranny out. Just make sure everything is unhooked and lower it slowly. When we took it out, a corner of the block got caught on something and broke a chunk of the block off... luckily it was going in the garbage anyway. lol, so just be careful when dropping it out.

got it dropped today...... I cant believe how many support mounts that damn thing had!!!! Ill be putting the new one in tommorrow. Its a salvage transmission with a 90 day warranty so hopefully it goes well... The people im doing it for plan on taking it to the dealership and trading it in as soon as im done though! haha . The transmission went out on them last week AS THEY WERE TAKING IT TO BE TRADED IN!!!!!!! Talk about bad luck!

lol.. we did it laying on our backs took 3 of us to hold it up and 1 person bolting it back on... my arms and hands hurt so bad.. **advise** get some help to lift it, while the cars jacked up place tranny on a seperate jack a balance it its a little easyer then dead lifing off the ground.. *

i have a transmission jack to do it with so lifting it is not all that bad....its positioning around that sucks, when the bell housing is ligned up the rear trans mount is not where it is suppose to be and when the rear trans mount is where its suppose to be the bell housing does not lign up, anyone want to help me blow this thing up?
