Anyone have a Rear Brake Pad tutorial?

I'm doing my rear brakes for the first time. do I just smear the anti squeal on the outside of the pad? The Haynes manual doesn't say to use it?

You should use the anti-squeal on any part of the pad that will be moving, so yes, a good outside coating on the pad is right.
