I'm looking to do a cold air intake some time in the near future. I like k&n's but i remember some of yall mentioning that the cheapo ebay intakes work exactly the same. Until now i have been an anti intake kind of guy but i figure what have i got to lose, other than money, well and hp. So yall just give me some ideas. I appreciate it.

I've got one of the ebay intakes and if it's cold out I can notice a difference in power, but as soon as it gets heated up I see no difference than what it was over stock, I guess because the metal heats up faster.

I doubt that makes much a difference because the air is not staying in the intake long enough to heat up to make a difference really. I have an ebay intake and besides the whooshing sound I notice no difference performance wise. Probably gained maybe 2 hp at most but I never dynoed so I couldn't say.
