I like those too - hmm I duno what to do now - I got the engine out for another day, and I have to make a quick decision. I got BBK **** on the car so it's no big deal to me if it says BBK on the valve cover. They seem to be nice quality...decisions decisions...
I like the team breed, you can get something engraved in them instead of saying bbk or whatever they put...ie: supercharger or procharged etc etc, or get the running horse.
I've installed many of both (BBK and team bread). The BBK's are a pain in the rear to install with the suplied allen cap bolts. The BBK's use a flat gasket that is prone to blowing out and leaking. You have to glue the gasket to the valve cover and carefully try to install it without hitting anything in the engine bay. At the shop we actually charger more to install BBK since there such a pain.
Now the team bread are alot nicer. They use an OEM valve cover gasket. If you ever need to pull the valve cover you can go to any ford dealer and buy new gaskets. They are also just as easy as OEM to install on the car. If I'd ever go with metal valve covers I'd go with the team bread valve covers!!!
It can be either...I believe the PI heads for the 99-00 cars were Windsor (13 bolts) and the 01+ were Romeo (11 bolts) I have an 01 GT and they are Romeo.
I agree to go with the Team Breed...I have a set of their cast aluminum ones that I painted with engine enamel and the came out great...here is a pic...sorry the pic is so small.
Yea it was the 13/14 bolt design - I went with the BBK's due to availability; won't be able to see much of the BBK logo due to the engine compartment being pretty full, no big deal to me - I just liked how the valve covers looked a little bigger and were titanium colored to match my intake and such. I got a few pics in talk, probably on page 2 of my engine out of the car so it'll be easier to see what I'm talking about as far as matching color
