I am thibnking of getting the combo it comes with trickflow twisted wedge heads, track heat intake, stage 1 cam, roller rockers, timing chain, pushrods, gaskets, and valve covers for $2099...I think this is a real good deal considering if you buy those parts seperatly its well over that price...anyway..how good is the combo...I will be adding 6#'s of boost to this combo with a supercharger...also is this going to be an emissions problem in california?? all the parts are 50state legal I think...does anyone have the stage 1 cam?? how lopey is it?? thanks

trackheat heads, r series intake, and stage 2 cam

like the title says, that is what I have. I bought them seperately, about a year and a half ago. I paid $1400 for the heads, $500 for the intake, and $139 for the cam.

I got the heads used though, and I had to buy roller rockers on top and new pushrods on top of that.

So the price you mentioned seems inline I guess.

However, they produce top dollar power in my opinion. I have a 347, and this puppy has power on demand. It pulls like a SOB throughout the entire power band, and it sets you back in your seat real nice. It will light the tires up in second gear off of a 5mph roll, which is quite addictive I might add, so refrain from that unless you have spare tires.

to make a long story short, I think the package would be worth the money, but I have no idea on your supercharger stuff, so I will leave that to someone more qualified.

good luck

Im getting the same kit but with the street heat intake for 2049, but i have a DSS pro bullet 308 to go along with it. Should be a nice 12 second street sleeper. Im ordering mine next week so when its together i'll post results. I'm still up in the air about what gear i want. I have a 3:08 now. I was thinking 3:73's but now I thinking about a 4:10. car is going to be a summer daily driven car so i might jsut go with 3:73's for now.

I have the same combo except with street intake, but didn't buy the package as it didn't exist then. I can't tell you any numbers yet as I don't have them. Just did this last fall.

It is a great combo, pulls strong up to 6k. I would be wary about the track heat intake as I don't think it is emissions friendly. That said it doesn't mean it still won't pass. More people will know this answer.

No idea on the supercharger, but I'm sure it will just add to it. I'm planning on one eventually.

You paid $1400 for used trickflow track heats? I paid $935 for my TW heads about 3 years ago. I used this 'kit' before it was sold as an actual kit. All box stock parts I went 12.88 @ 107 on nitto dr's. There was more in it. My dyno #'s were 304hp/339tq with a cool down.

Jo_885o, go with 410's for your combo.

I have a friend who has the stage 1 cam and it doesnt sound very lopey to me. I guess maybe because I have the stage 3! lol

mcvey90, just curious why you went with the stage 2 instead of the stage 3? I never even considered the stage 2. The vice president in my car club is also a ford tech and he has a 306 and just moved up from an f cam to a stage 2. I dont know anyone else running strokers with stage 2's. Ill probably be doing a custom sometime this year along with swapping out my intake and t.b. do you have any numbers on your 347 yet?

I bought everything from jdsperformance about 3 years ago. On nittos i have gone a best 12.71 @ 109.5 mph with a crappy 1.9 60'. With some good traction will easily be low 12's. Great power out of the setup and now that it is sold as a complete kit it is a good value.

I drive 15 min to work everyday so i guess it'll be alright. The traffic is usually jamming to where theres only 60-65 mph tops anyway. 4:10's it is

I don't think you can beat the deal myself,I personaly have put 460rwh to the ground through my aod with 10#'s of boost on 14* with a a/f ratio fat enough to run two cars so there is a ton of power left in her!!
My heads were $1200
Intake "track heat"ported 350.00(stole that)
Cam was already in the car "E"
1.72 tfs rr's 249.00 I believe
tfs hardened pushrods can't remember the cost
Fms 30" injectors 229.00
Stock bottom end with 40k on it.

man you guys are running 12's with that combo... putting down about 300 hp to the ground, thats what 100+ hp over stock, thats pretty bad ass. you can't even supercharge a stock stang and put down those numbers for that price.

sorry

I guess I should have worded that $1400 different.
That is what I have in them, I did buy them used for I think right around $900, I had some machine work done to them, different valves, a mild port job and assembly. I'd have to get the machine bill out to be more accurate.

I went with the stage 2 just because I thought the lift numbers on the stage 3 were a bit much, I didn't want to go too over the top. I'll run the stage 2 for awhile, and ya never know might change it out.

I don't have any dyno numbers, but in a few weeks I hope to have some track times to share, I need to do a little brake work and its ready to roll.

Lots of people run the stage 2 in strokers. Its a wonderful blower grind. I believe it has the exact numbers as on of the older A.F.M. blower grind I believe it was the b-41 not sure......

no, i meant on naturally aspirated strokers. I should have been more specific, but since he and I are both naturally aspirated, I thought he would know what I meant. I meant specifically for that extra power, why did he run a 2 over a 3, and it sounds like he understood, but still i should have been more specific.
