Since there are questions coming up, I may as well ask about mine. My 05, auto, has started sputtering/hesitation after coming to a stop and starting to go again. Like at stop lights. 13,300 miles on it, just recently switched to Royal Purple at 12,000 miles, have had no problems til now, thought maybe a tank of bad gas, gettin ready to refill since I just road tripped it and about 80 miles to empty. Try a fresh tank of gas???? Or, take it in for check up....before it stalls completely in the middle of the road? Any Ideas before I make appointment? Thanks

I have had mine randomly cut off two times. And also cruising down the highway, I have felt the car lurch like I hit a bump. Dunno if any of it is related, but I am going to have it looked it after I call a few dealers and see what kind of attitude they have towards the changes I've made to the car.

If this is after driving for a while at a constant speed, sounds like you need the TSB 06-9-9. It replaces the fuel pump sending unit. The old design I guess allowed air bubbles that built up to get into the pump and cause the hesitation.

iskwezm, are you sure it is not the TCS? does it do it during a HARD downshift? like when you are going in second, and downshift to first and floor it?

Yeah, mine is after cruisin for awhile. I haven't ran the tank down for awhile until now, been fillin it at half cuz of gas prices. Got the 50 miles to empty today so filled it all the way up and we'll see if it continues on this tankful. If it's only every once in awhile, I won't worry much about it. Otherwise I'll consult the dealership about the TSB, and let them deal with it.

beats me then. it seems problems are always hard to duplicate when you need to. i have a CLANK that will happen everyday, but i took it in and could not get it to happen while i was there.

I've had this happen to me twice recently. Same conditions most of you are talking about, long trip on the freeway. Each time it happened I was accelerating at WOT in 2nd gear to get back on the freeway after about a 10 minute restroom break/map check.

It never happened before and I have 11000 miles on my car. I even drove from California to Georgia at about 600-700 miles per day. I don't expect it to be a problem because it only happened a those two times.

I ran it at the track this last weekend about 8 times and never happened on a run thank goodness. I am pretty sure it is TSB 06-9-9. But I am not going to worry about it unless is starts doing it regularly.

How many miles on yours? Won't know for sure on mine until the weekend when I road trip it.
