Anyone here ever used rosetta stone spanish program?

Anyone here ever used the rosetta stone spanish stuff they sell on TV? I would like to learn spanish, it would come in useful at work, but the rosetta stone stuff is insanely priced!

it's ok if you want to grasp the spoken language, but if you want to learn to read and write then i would look for something else.

Exactly. My buddy used it for German and he could just about speak it fluently but couldn't read or write anything at all. He had it on his iPod and would listen to it at work and it didn't take long for him to speak complete sentences.
