I'm running a Bassani catback, with bassani x pipe and bassani shorty headers. Vortech supercharged. Sounds really good. I can make a vid for you if you'd like.

Why not bore out the evo to a 2.3 and shame the 4.6 talk section with half the displacement? hahaha.

I already have a built POS that doesnt like to run, i dont need another one lol...the evo is just a dd car.. after doing all that i did to the mustang i realize you loose a lot of driveability and reliability out of a heavily built car.. i kiow that i dont have a 500hp drag car or anything but once i built this car and threw cams in it, it took the fun out of daily driving it... i dont want that to happen with the evo.. i can get in that car anytime and it will start and stay on no matter how many times i stop..

dont get me wrong, i love the mustang but some days there is absolutely no idle, and some days it drives perfect.. i would never build a daily driver like i did the mustang again... im sure if i would have supercharged it or turbod it from the get go i probably wouldnt have as many problems..

Revman, that sounds nasty! I like

VortechEdge, Whore that chit out dude!

Didn't realize the Evo was the DD haha, you can always just run it in SCCA stock events and tear up the track that way.

my combo is here:

When I was exhaust shopping both the bassani and borla exhaust setups sounded great on our cars. I would imagine that with a turbo your car would sound amazing with either catback. (I have bias towards the borla)

Im in love with the way bassani is sounding but I think since I can't seem to find bassani without the hefty price tag I think im starting to lean towards stingers...I hate being indecisive

This is my UPR off road X with weld in flowmaster 40's. Probably not of much help because you are not looking for a chambered muffler but I think it sounds pretty good with the UPR mid.

Arent the stingers $690? A hell of a lot to pay for a catback...
Years ago my catback was $359 on AM. Got the headers and midpipe used for $300 shipped.

My Hooker LT, O/R X and Bassani CB was the best sounding mustang setup I'd ever heard.

Slayer, your car sound bad ass

Artimus, borla is damn expensive too but I have the hook up for borla and can get the stinger cat back for 490...I keep seeing bassani for 790....I might just look into just mufflers

weld in and tips will probably run you the least amount.
Second to SLP, I like magnaflows packs more than flows but both are nice.

Where can you get Borla and Bassani mufflers? Is it possible to just purchase the mufflers and not the complete system?

Borla sells their mufflers by themselves on their site and I saw a few other sites that do as well but they are being sold at a hefty price... bassani sells just mufflers on their site as well if I read it correctly but I have yet to find other places that offer anything other than cat and axle backs...

I don't know why I never thought of just buying mufflers...my flows are welded in so I guess I can do the same with any other brand too
