Hey guys,
I'm located on the MA/NH line and have a set of GT40P's and upper & lower intake waiting to go on (in the next few months). I've never taken the heads off my car, and I know there are a bunch of issues that need to be addressed when swapping to the GT40P's. If there's anybody on this forum who's done it (or knows how to do it perfectly), I'd like to be able to hook up with someone who can help me do it.
Of course I'll pay you and I'd like to help wrenching, but we'd have to do it at your place and with your tools :D
If anyone's available, let me know!
Thanks,
Jeremy

Can't say I've done gt 40 P's before but I did GT40 Y's end of last year in mine as welll as cam intake headers, o/r H. I do know that you will need new headers as the port locations are different from stock heads. Can't offer up my garage as its full with my turboproject! Good luck with the install.

Mackey - you would be the man!!! :hail2: Did you swap your own heads?
I "should" be able to use my brother's shop, and then I think we'd just need a torque wrench, and any fuel line disconnect tools.
Do you know which other little tools are involved??
Thanks,
Jeremy

You will need that torque wrench, head gaskets, new head bolts or studs as the ones on there now are TTY (torque to yield) and CANNOT be reused, thread sealant, gasket remover for the old crap stuck to the block, while you are in there I would clean up the pistons with some abrasive pads to reduce carbon build up and decrease chance of detonation, you'll have to check your pushrod length with those heads, if your rocker arms are pedestal mount rather than stud mount you will most likely need longer or shorter pushrods or a shim kit, if you go that far you may as well get new lifters. That's all I can think of right now, its late.

Sweet. I'm actually on my way down to Danvers right now; my fiance works on 114 off of 95...

I haven't heard any GT40P swappers say anything about pushrods, so I "should" be OK.

Mackey - how long do you think it would take??

Thanks!
