Anyone install PI intake without tune?

I wonder if the ports on the 96-98 cylinder head could be machined to match the PI manifold. I talking using a dremmel tool, with the head still on the engine 
. Is this idea shear lunacy? Has anyone tried it?
. Is this idea shear lunacy? Has anyone tried it?I have seen one person do this, they packed the ports with duct tape then put grease in the ports to suspend any shavings from going in the combustion chamber.
I just did the PI cams and intake swap, and I am happy with the results, the car continues to pull at 5500 rpm where it would choke at 5100 before.
As for the port issue. the gaskets are mismatched less than 1/4" on the inside corner of the runners which is NOTHING this disturbance is just as bad as the stock design, when taking the intake off we noticed how the gasket did not match the port non-PI gasket vs non PI head and left an opening between the intake and head the thickness of the gasket (which is a thick gasket) that would make just as much of a disturbance while entering the head.
we did my cams and intake swap in 7 hrs.
