Anyone know about Cruise Control Problems?

I'm really gettin sick of not having cruise control, does anybody know how to fix these things? I have an assembly from a car thats cruise worked, is there anything else I need to look into to fix my problem? These weekly 150 mile drives back to Jersey are getting annoying with out cruise control. Any help is appreciated.

Does your cigarette lighter work? It uses the same fuse as the cruse control.

Are all the vacuum lines connected? Is the vacuum switch on top of the brake pedal working OK? There is an electrical switch on the clutch pedal too. Ride around with your foot on the clutch pedal and it turns off the cruse control (that's my bad habit.).

I had the prob of my vac line becoming bent/pinched every once awhile until I replaced the old hose. Check under the dvrside fender that's where the compressor is.
