Okay, I'm looking into a Mustang right now that has an Accel programmable FMU...er.....something (I've lost all Mustang knowledge in the last 3 years of not having one )...

So while talking to the guy, he said that it was a plug-into-laptop type, and tune from there...

my questions are:
What all does the Accel program come with? I have laptop access, and if it comes with the software, I know someone that is great with tuning cars...if it doesn't, I need to find out how much it is to tune the car.

Are there any shops that can be recommended to tune the car? it's a forced induction vehicle, the whole motor was just built, and hasn't been tuned at all yet (like 0 miles)... Also, anyone know of prices on the tuning?

I really appreciate this, guys... I'm trying to get back in the game here...

Sounds like it is a Accel DFI, find out if it is a GEN 6 or GEN 7. DFI will allow you to change almost any perameters, the GEN 7 is the newest and although I here harder to tune it has lots of capability

as rick stated you will be quite pleased with the adjustability features, allowing you 2 change fuel maps 2 better suit individual cam profiles. my pro-jection setup came with necessary software to install on laptop and gives you the option of chooseing through mutiple preset fuel maps or allowing you to custom set your own.
you can start with preset maps and try each noteing wich 1 is giveing prefered Air Fuel Ratio. i installed AFR guage piggybacked into O2 sensors for my adjusting before heading 2 the dyno.

custom feature allowed adjustabilty can fine tune further if preset fuel map is off on A.F.Ratio at certain RPM's, cruise, WOT, etc.
