a 2002ish Chevy Duramax 6.6L TD should be with the following mods: Intake, exhaust, performance tuned chip, power adder thing on the dash and methanol injection?

I raced one last night, belonged to a friend of a friend. I've always been wary of these Turbodiesels, since I've heard they're beasts. he told me he only had exhaust and a CAI when we were hanging out before the race, and i believed him. I figured, I might keep up, and hell ive always wanted to see a truck go that fast. after the race another friend told me he lied and listed the above mods as "some of the $*** he's done to that beast"

It started from a stop, but since my lane was a bit dippy, my car rolled back a bit before we launched. he was laughing at that. when we went off, we were almost ass to ass instead of nose to nose lol. Anyhow, i burned rubber through most of first, and when i caught traction i was passing him at the bottom of 3rd. after I passed him, i ran it through the rest of third, and let off he caught up and we pulled over and talked some. It was pretty fun, no hatred on either side, and plenty respect for the others vehicle.

Those trucks are loud as sin and crazy fast for what... a 6000lb vehicle? so does anyone know what that truck should be running? I googled but im seeing ranges from 10s to 13s. i KNOW its not a 10 sec truck, since im driving a stock Bullitt.

And I'm sorry for making post about street racing, I just want to know how fast that truck should have been, and how (if at all) good my driving is. if anyone else has experience with these trucks, id raelly appreciate an estimate, or any help at all.

Thanks everyone.

PS: DAMN that was a loud truck... lol

I about got my ass handed to me by an f350 at the 1/8th mile track lol. he launched hard and had me by about 2 lengths off the line. but i caught him and beat him by a bumper lol. he ran an 8.9 to my 8.8 he trapped 74 i trapped 80.

those diesel trucks are pretty quick. and with those mods i wouldnt be surprised if he is running low 14s to possibly high 13s.
