I may be doing it on an early classic stang. I figured there would be no cheap way around getting the clutch quadrant, shifter, and the cable clutch linkage conversion kit. Tranny and bellhousing is already laying in wait along w/ clutch and everything ready to go on the engine if I decide to bolt it up. So has anyone made their own crossmember for the tranny to save the ridiculous cost of one.

if i ever get a deal on a tranny, im going to have my dad make it
(since i cant weld)

with the clutch stuff, i was just gonna go hydraulic...
someday

but i was also holding off because ive heard of people around here breaking the t-5
i dont want to go to all the work of putting it in, just to see it give out

I know what you mean about it breaking but i dont plan on putting toooo much power through it. I figured I might be feeding around 350fwhp to it and I'd hope to goodness it would hold up given what hell the 5.0 guys put these things through.

As a matter of fact I just finished making mine last week. I'll post some picks as soon as my dad gets back with the digital camera.

I fabed mine. It was realy simple, it was along time ago but i think i used 1X2" square tube and some flat stock. It cost me about 13 bucks i think. I put the trans in and jacked it up to where i wanted it. Then just started measuring it and welding.

i built mine out of some flat stock and some C stock. I posted the dimensons on a earlier thread, you could probably find it in a search, if not PM me and i'll send you what you need. I had to tweak it a little bit, but it fits great, keeps the engine angle the same.
