I was looking at one of those gauge pods that go where the factory cd player is but they're $49 and it seems like you could make one pretty easy. Anyone try?

I have not but have been thinking about that and even a new plate to cover the speedo and tach.....out of sheet aluminum or stainless, but what you are talking about would be easy....cut a pattern, trace it on the material, cut it out ,install it. There are ways to cut all materials and for most tools....drill, dremel, grinder, etc...... it really would be easy. I think.

i have not did it for mustangs but i have did them before, my buddies dad owns a body shop so we took and went to local junkyards and bought dodge neon and honda civic dashes 3 of each and made custom guage pods out of them i have pics of one of the neon ones then repainted it and it was so nice they put it on showcase at import shop about 100 miles away from where we live and we have made 5 since for diff. people i have pics of them if you would like to get an idea ?

Sweet. I didn't know they made on that holds three...

Yeah people always say they like these better than my old ones.I just like how you can't see them from outside the car(unlees someones in a semi-truck)which helps my stealth mode. :nice:

ive got one i made out of the same material they use for most street signs, sorry no pics on my puter....only hard part was gettin the sharp edged creases n stuff

and wheel polish made it look killer.
