i know it sounds dumb, but there are alot of them on ebay/loacal jy's for cheap. experts say that the weak spot for 94/95 uppers is the elbow and the egr setup.

so, can you put a fox upper and run an aftermarket elbow? also has anyone cut a section out of the upper and welded it back together?

btw, i saw a pick of a truck lower. wtf, it looked like an holley lower with it's square ports.

don't give me the usual bs of why would you do that when you could spend a few more bucks and get an explorer/cobra intake. i am trying to figure out if something like that is worth a little more money or should i just leave the upper alone. total investment would be $120 for switching to fox upper w/ elbow. i have a buddy with a bandsaw and tig welder--priceless.

Dude, the elbow itself is restrictive imo. Its a waste of money to get a fox upper with some other elbow. I think it equals the original setup. What you want is the real fox body setup including iac, tps, egr delete, tb, tb cable and plate, and cruise cable if needed. Elbow is before the tb...Then again everybodys different on that subject.

I dont get how having the elbow before or after the throttle body has that big of an impact on performance.

I didnt do mine for the hp gains really. I wanted that 75mm tb and I decided to go that route. Let me tell you I did see a good difference in throttle response.

And the elbow...I'm thinking that having the air getting to the elbow first then the TB is less restrictive that hitting the tb than elbow then upper intake. Some agree, some dont.:Word:
