Its time to buy new rear tires. I currently run 18x9s out back with 275s. I'll probably go with 295/35/18 BFGs (either drags or KDWs), although I'm looking at a few other options...

Its going to cost about 250 bucks to upgrade to 18x10 rear wheels. I wondering if I even need to. I think theres plenty of room for the 295s on my current rim unless the BFGs run much bigger than my Pilot Sports (which are flush to the rim). Didnt Saleen and roush cars ship stock with 295s on 9" rims??? So...

Show me some pics of your 295/35/18s on 18x9 rims so I can decide what to do.

Thanks.

yes saleen and roush put 295/35/18's on their cars for the rears. They fit perfectly on a 18x10 rim.
BFG's run a tiny bit bigger than the pilots.

oh sorry for the attempted hi-jack of the thread, answer the 18x9 question first, then the 18/10. and is it better to have a large tire in the front too for rim protection and turning traction?

definitely not 245/35. that would be like a bicycle tire.

For front tires on 18x9, generally people either go 265/35/18 or 275/35/18. I'm going to get 275s instead of 265s this time around.

So pics of 295 BFGs on 18x9s anyone? I think Saleen and Roush shipped their cars that way...

IMO the wider the tire in the front the worse the handling. Id go with 255

What do you have? Pics? Less than 265 exposes the rim too much for my liking.

265/35x18 on 9"
295/35x18 on 10's

Like written earlier Roush and Saleen both use this combo for a reason, handles and drives great.....

Do Roush and Saleen ship with 18x10 rears or 8x9. I thought they used 18x9?? I really want to see how they fit an 18x9 wheel folks.
