I'm shopping for some new tires and am curious to hear how those running with 315 tires in the rear fare up here in the rainy weather.

Care to share what tire you're running and thoughts?

Yep. 315 Michelin Pilots. No problem at all in rain. Pricey though.

Also 315 Michelin Pilots. Only driven them in the rain 3 times and they seemed fine. If your cars a daily driver I would stay with a street tire not a DR.

Eagle F-1 GS-D3's here. Great rain tire, but also very pricey.

No, they're on my wife's toy. They've been on there for about 5,000 miles and are holding up very well though.

I had the Eagles on an old DD...They do better than most I have experienced in the rain...I'm not sure if they are offered in a 315, but the BFG Geforce TA's do REAL well in the rain...I had them in 285s on a 300 rwhp notch with 4.10s and the only gear I couldn't get on it in was first...

I second the goodyear GSD3's I had them on my 95 315/35/17 excellent rain tire (prob the best ) so the show and mags say? They were spendy also but welllll worth it! I wanted the widest 315 i could get and the GSD3's are the widest on the market. They measure from side wall to side wall just over 13"! A set of crapo's in 315's look like 275's compared to the GSD3's 315's! peace

Mine are on DD. Over 30,000 miles and I now need new tires. Checkout Tire Rack for reviews on all tires.

.....and you'll see that the GS-D3's are pretty much universally loved by those that have them.

Are you lookin for 17 or 18s? Michelins are way expensive compared to the GS D3s. Especially if you go 315. Michelins can run $415 per 315/30/18.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Yes im looking for 17's.

I came across this new brand of tire and from what i hear from the vette guys is that its comparable to the GS D3's but less expensive; Vredestein Ultrac Sessenta.

The tires were designed in conjunction and featured on the Giugiaro Design Concept Mustang that was unveiled in November.

May have to try these out.
