Well I'm pretty sure my stock 63,000 mile block has seen it's last days. Wasn't even from racing or beating on it. Seems my #8 cylinder is toast. This was the same area that gave me a headache last year. I think it's finally over. Wasn't running right for the last few weeks. Finally puked oil out everywhere and the coolant resevoir was bubbling (never overheated or anything though). Vortech, Heads, Cam, Rockers, Power pipe and all that must go so I can fund a new motor. I wish I could keep the blower with a new motor but it's not going to happen. Looking into a Keith Craft 408 or maybe something a little more effecient like a 331. Anyway, I'm searching for someone who has put the big dogs (393 or 408) in a 94-95 car. Anyone?

my buddy picked up a 408 not too long ago. he plans on putting it together and turboing sometime by the end of summer. that is what i will be doing with my "graduation" money i get after i get through paramedic school minus the turbo. either that or s/c a 331. i like the smaller engines with a power adder just a lil more but thats just my opinion

I plan on installing a 408 with a T-trim or YS-trim in the next couple years. I have seen several 94-95s with this engine and it seems to be a simple swap, just expensive.

joe, you might want to take a trip to towers. that guy with the yellow sn95 has the 400+ cube motor and the t-trim. he would be the one to talk to.

There are a bunch of guys on the Corral that are running 351W stroker motors. Not sure if you're allowed to surf other forums, j/k

Vib, remember that Hooker makes long tube headers for 94-95 Mustangs with a 351, they don't advertise it very much but they make them.

If I could do everything from scratch all over again I would have a AFR-205 headed 408 motor. That would be lethal.

Well the motor I'm looking into is a crate 408 (intake to pan) with AFR's.

So there isn't a soul on Stangnet that has anything bigger then a 351 in a 94-95?

I know theres got to be a couple guys somewhere. What kind of crate 408 are you looking at. A DSS with some AFR 205's or something along those lines. Are you going to keep it N/A im assuming?

Keith Craft crate 408. CHP is a close second and DSS third. I'm still doing the research so I'm not sure on all of this. Yes I will be staying N/A.

Do you plan on going carbed or N/A? What kind of intake would you run?

Sounds like a killer combo Joe. I was thinking of doing one last year, but the cost was out of my league. So you are coming back to the NA side... the problems you had are some of the reasons I decided to leave my '95 alone and stay NA with it.

i wouldn't mind building a high compression 408. my 351w hasn't been runnnig for long so i will problably stick with that for right now. as soon as it goes, 408 w/ afr 205's will not be far away.

do all the accessories swap right over to a 351 based motor without any problems to make it a basic swap?

The front accessories do but headers, distributor, hood, intake and some other stuff do not.
