Anyone running a sn95 fan as a pusher?

Hi,

Has anyone run a sn95 fan as a pusher? The fan will be where the condensor usually goes in front of the radiator. I know it will physically run this way, but how does it cool? There isn't enough clearence for my 10 rib set up and I don't want to have to replace the fan unless it's absolutly needed. The car is a dart 347/ysi combo in a 95 mustang.

How will you flip the fan blade?

Are you running a huge radiator (that won't let you sink it under the rad support)?

I am running a fluidyne. My buddy tried moving the radiatior forward to where the condensor was and there still wasn't enoough room. Do you think it will flow enough if we just reversed the polarity and didn't flip the blade? The other option is to go with a contour fan, but I want to avoid it if possible, since I already have a fairly new sn95 fan.

I haven't run a SN95 fan backwards, but with any forced set-up, I'd not want to try personally (but I live in the desert and am more anal about cooling systems than folks in milder climates).

That's too bad you can't recess the radiator - that would have been really slick.

If you are able to make it work, the dual fan idea sounds nice to me (I know more about the Intrepid fans than the Contour fans - I have a first gen Intrepid fan that I might install at some point). The short height is appealing (perhaps allowing you to keep the fan behind the radiator - a fan in front is still an impediment to ambient air flow).

I'll sign off there, as I simply cannot give any experience using the fan as a pusher. You might try putting up a thread in 94-95 Tech to see if folks have tried it. Or check on Turbo Mustangs since those guys always have packaging issues and run some unusual cooling assemblies.

Thanks HISSIN50. I'll try Turbo Mustangs. We are going to try it and see how it does. I guess I can be the guinea pig. If it doesn't work ,I explore different options.
