Anyone running Comp XE258?

Was thinking about buying one and putting in my now stock motor. I'm probably going to switch to a gt40/p heads and I already have an Explorer intake.

What kind of numbers are you running/putting down and what is the rest of the combo consist of? How would you compare it to the stock cam?

I'd say hold off on swapping the cam out until you actually do the heads/intake. All you'll be doing is shifting the power band up into an area where the stock heads/intake won't allow you to actually make any more power.

Expect to not have the same off idle 'snap' as you did before, but obviously some better pull up top.

Not sure how my XE-266 compares, but I really like the way it works with my head & intake combo. It's noticeably soft compared to the stocker below 2500 rpm, but pulls HARD above that.
