I currently have standard NGK ur5 plugs gapped to .038 on my S/C motor and rumor has it that blown motors like iridium plugs but not platinum. Anyone have iridium plugs in their blown motor? Thanks
I would highly disagree with that comment. I have NGK TR7IX iridiums in my car right now (2 ranges colder than stock), and also tried a set of Autolites from Napa that were only a single range colder.
I used both while tuning my car (meaning I had to pull and clean the plugs a LOT) and had no ignition system other than stock. The Iridiums were not only harder to foul than the autolites in super rich conditions, but under boost they took more Boost/RPM's before the spark blew out.
