Anyone running SPEC brand clutch or have any experience with this?

When I bought the car the guy said it had an aluminum flywheel and SPEC Stage II clutch in it and the clutch pedal is really stiff. I have an adjustable clutch quadrant. The clutch grabs hard and doesn't slip with the power im putting out, 225hp and 304tq to the wheels....I was wondering if anyone has had this clutch or knows anything about them is this clutch feel (stiff pedal) normal for this clutch? Not sure if it is an aftermarket or stock cable but I dont want to just replace it if this is normal feel for this clutch/flywheel.

Those clutches are tuff hard to adjust and dont slip for crap. Id swap it out for a centerforce

Sounds about right to me its going to be a little stiff. I ran 3 centerforces. All garbage. Swapped out to a Ram powergrip HD after a lot of research and couldnt of been happier. Until I put in a auto that is

yeah that clutch is going to have a stiff pedal pressure. I had a stage 1 in an 87 I used to have a long time ago and it was pretty stiff, I'm sure the stage 2 is even stiffer

i've got a stage 3 spec clutch (which technically should be stiffer than yours) and mine feels nice and smooth, maybe a little bit harder than stock. I also have an adjustable cable quadrant and I replaced the clutch fork and throw-out bearing when I rebuilt the engine. Compared to my brothers king cobra the spec is easier to push in.

Same here, I always ran Spec III. Like you said, maybe a little bit harder than stock. Not much though. Origional poster should check the routing of the cable. People are commonly misrouting them and getting a stiff pedal. Should be a straight shot to the fork connection. Promotion sells an extra long cable that works really nice. Mounts off the driver's side head in front and is a perfectly straight shot to the fork.
