I have decided to go ahead on the 17x9 /275 idea but am not sure about the tire. Nittos come well spoken of for true dual use but I have not heard anything about the new Toyos. The only comparison I found was on one of the Camaro sites claiming they were between the MTs and Nittos. The price isnt bad and I will always have the factory 8 inch rims that I can throw a set of tires on. Anyone with experience or a better comparison?

i havent used the toyo's yet, but of all the ones ive used go with some mickey dr's, nitto and bfg dont do it as well.. i believe the toyo's will be around the performance of a bfg.. but better than a nitto. some cars do well on a nitto, but ive never had one of those cars lol

Posted via Mobile Device nitto have a new version coming out soon. It's on the back of the feb 5.0 mag. The tread pattern looks pretty promising with the fat slick center. Personally i've found that with my car there's no traction on the street even with them so i'm going back to street tires and getting slicks and welds for the track.

MY friend has a 03 Cobra laying down 475RWHP with just a pulley, exhaust, tune. He runs consistent 11.99-12.1X's with his car. 1.8-1.9 60ft times with the Toyo's. He likes them, but they do spin a little after his burnout and 3,500 RPM launch. They also spin like no other on the street. He said they are similar to Nitto's.

For a car you will drive a little on the street and a lot at the 1/4 track....M/T's....period. They last 2-3K on the street. Nitto's I have gotten about 10-14K on a pair with a few burnouts and 1/4 passes.
