If so, what did it take to make it fit? Does it need to be shortened? I may try and see if I can get the rear end out of the donor car I'm getting my EFI engine from.
me and my dad put a 97 explorer rear end with 3.73's and limited slip in my 67. we just had to shorten the longer side and get the short axle from another rearend to put in. then just used my spring mounts from my old 8" and welded them on there. has been over a year and no problems yet.
Thanks guys. I'm going to see if I can talk the guy out of the rear end. Besides, after I take his engine and tranny for a measily $1500, the rest of the little stuff on the car will be nearly worthless. lol
