Anyone with 3.73 gears?

i have 3.73s. wish i had gotten 4.10s or 4.30s. im probably going to get 4.30s when i get the $

Really? I'm doing a JYTT project this winter, and am trying to research which gears to get for this project. You'd really stick with the stock ones for turbo? I heard a 3.55 was a good choice- a little more go, but not too much that you lose your RPM band. Can you expand on your response? Just trying to get some info from experience. thanks!!

Turbo cars don't need high rpms to get boost like a supercharger, they need a load to be placed on the engine. Its the physics of it... I would go down to 3.08's if I had some laying around...

I am putting the stock gears back in... the 3:73's + turbo = teh lose.

I have the 373 give in my car. I think a 373 in a GT is prefect. IMO The gear is great on the street and you still don't lose a lot of top end. If you have a cobra and its n/a it will like the 410 cause it gets in your 4000 power band quicker.

The 373 and 410 are both great what it really comes down to is what are you for out your car in the future. Ask yourself that question and you'll figure out what gear to go with.

im going with the 3.73 my next mod, mostly street use. i think you and myself will be happy with them. only thing holding me back is correcting my speedo. i am not sure which way i want to go about it. speedcal/ tune chip

3.73's were the perfect choice for me. No regrets at all. (I do drive the car in snow and ice sometimes.)

3.73 are great street gears, should have came from the factory that way. I didn't notice much of an inprovment at the track though.

Actually my wife has the 4.10s...my 02 has the 3.73s.

Which gears are you running? I don't see any sig, time slip, garage...no nothin, just smack talk.

I was on the fence as well. But lemme put it to you this way. I've been beating the piss out of my car since I got the 4.10's installed. Just because it's SO fun to drive now. And after 4 days of driving like an ass, I'm down to a 1/4 of a tank. I've got 2 more days left. And I'm running it all out on the freeway.

I think the gas mileage isn't affected that much since it doesn't take as much effort to move the car.

HIGHLY recommend you do 4.10's. The car flat out hauls azz now.

3.73 if you are planning on the supercharger route, which is looking very good right now for me.
