Anyone with a 347 and over 400 horses n/a let me see!

That and then some. But get some longtubes on there. My power is all in under 6000, with a higher revving engine you can make more peak, but remember that doesn't mean it will be faster down the 1/4. My car is never a dog, not at 2000rpm or at 6000.I wanted a fun street car to drive around and thats what I got.

only reason I would go shorties is becuase of the emmisions laws that are now...that way I can throw my stock h-pipe on there and it will look good to pass...that or Ill just get long tubes with a cated x-pipe

i almost bought a 347 longblock from an engine shop in vegas... but i decided to build up the suspension and tranny first. i'd rather not have the car tear itself apart.

they're selling new 425hp 347 longblocks, forged rotating assy, 10.5:1 compression... runs on pump gas, for 4200. i don't have cam numbers or the flow rates for the custom heads/intake. i could always call and find out, i guess.

hey ninjacoupe, that looks like a solid setup. 4.10 gears... is it auto? what did you have done to the tranny?

Not an auto.
3.73's would be an ideal gear but the 4.10's are fun as hell with a stickshift.
I just like the snap of the throttle, no joke, 2nd gear and an unsuspecting passenger and you are talking serious WHIPLASH haha

I'd lean toward the AFR185s instead of the Vic Jrs. They flow right out of the box. You also may want to go for the N-111 cam over the 91. The N-91 is cool for a 306 but with your extra cubes I think you'd be happier with the 111. That cam is impressive. This year on the dyno at 6200 rpms mine was already making 420 rwhp and at 7600 it was still over 420. It peaked around 7000 at 433. I'm anxious for some new track times. Going on the 24th so we'll see.
