I thought a smaller starter would be a great idea since I seem to cook starters with these headers. Well it's hitting the drag link when I steer so I am wondering if anyone out there has attempted this. I'm going to try to spin the starter motor upward and see if it hits the header tubes. Why is it I plan spending the whole day in the garage and cant seem to get anything done? Some days I just wish I was born without that "mechanical" gene.

I really like the Powermaster mini starter that I have in my 66. It cranks the engine over effortlessly and I have plenty of room around the headers and no interference with the steering linkage.
I can R&R the starter in just a couple of minutes if needed!

Odd, my gear reduction starter fits like a champ. No problems at all.
