Hi all.
Had the 88LX on the rack and noticed the tail shaft was soaking wet in tranny fluid - closest to the yoke (had slow leak for about a year).
Car is 17 years old, is the tail shaft seal the same as the T5?
How difficult is it to replace?
Can it be replaced without dropping the tranny?
Are there any bearings or bushings that should be replaced while there?
Where can I get these parts?
Are there any other parts that should be replaced (because everything in there is original)? I want to maximize my time while appart - so the U-joints are a must change. Anything else?
