AODE to T-5 missing part question

A couple days ago I installed the new pedal assembly. I looked at my buddies mustang to be sure everything was there and correct. I noticed his car had a white relay and switch that touched the plastic quadrant. I do not have one of these. Any help or info on what this is and what it does. Thanks

that is what prevents you from starting the car without the clutch in if i am not mistaken. mine starts without having to depress the clutch and it has ever since my swap. i wouldnt worry about it. just make a habit of depressing the clutch or making sure the car is in neutral before you turn the key.
