welded my steeing column at the slide joint inside the car today..oh ya tightened it right up ...instant gratification...the out side one was already done..what a difference

what was wrong in the first place? did it shake all over like mine does when braking?

I hope you disconnected the negative battery terminal..........

if you shake your wheel ever so slightly on a 94 or 95 with at least 80k on it you will notice the smallest amount of play..however by the time it telescopes down to your wheels it is exagerated....only when you take care of this do you notice the remarkable difference...I hooked my ground cable rith below where i was welding ..turned my floor mat upside down,opened both doors..set the temp to around on the welder to around 75..used a soft stick ..held my breath and hit it ..;.rotated it and hit it again....what adifference..no more slight drifting
