Hey guys now that i''ve decided on my suspension setup (i'll be ordering in a week or two!!!! Solid mid/low 13s here i come!) i'm working on a list of bolt ons/small performance upgrades to buy. My plans for the car are this: It'll have full drag suspension and all the usual bolt ons and gears. For HCI i'm planning on getting thumper heads and TMoss intake with a custom or b cam. So will the 19# injectors be ok for the budget HCI or should i go for 24s? I'm trying to find the cheapest way to my goal so if i didn't have to spend 200+ on injectors that would be great, but if i need them i'll get em. Thanks,
-E

Your stock 19# injectors should be ok, but it's one of those points that you reach where it's better to be safe than sorry. I have seen 24#'s in the classifieds for around $100, I would put them in...........JMO.

Yep...the 19's would work but I would just buy some used 24lb inj. of ebay and just clean up and they'll work just like new...good luck...

Edit: Oh yeah your going to need a new MAF that is calibrated for those 24's...so maybe if you look around on ebay you could get both for around $200...

Stay with the 19s with an adjustable regultor. 24s would do it easier but the 19s will work.

thanks a lot for the replies. Yeah i realize iwill need a recalibrated maf for the 24s which is one of the reasons i'm asking. I do plan on getting an AFPR so i guess i'll be ok. However if i come across a good deal i might pick em up. Thanks again, and any more replies are appreciated as well.

I am in the same dilemma, I have a Factory Stock combo this year and am going to run it with 19 lb inj. I have been told by some (most) to go with 24s, instead of tuning the 19s to flow extremely high. Then I was told the number 2 FS car (running 11.7-11.8) runs 19s. 19s will work, but 24s would be easier to tune!
