Are 275x50x15 Drag Radials the biggest 50 for a 15" rim?

I have looked and looked, so if they are then that is the tire size I guess I'l have to go with.

255/50/15 by bfg will fit a 7" wide v6 rim okay.

nope, bfg makes a 325/50/15 as well that's much bigger than the 275.

hmm well now, that is some good information, but where do you find it? I checked the usual, summit or Jegs catalogs and their websites. Not sure who else to call. I purchased the 15x10x15 welds and need to check out the different sizes. If you can can you post a link, website or phone number where I can get this info?

Do you understand the tire sizing? There's no reason to just look for a "50" series tire -- you would want to look by width and height you want.

Iam running 325/50/15 on mine. Quad shocks removed, indide fender well beaten in and wheel well lip turned up. Still rub occasionally I think when I take a corner hard. Watch your front tire to back tire size. If not the same your anti lock light will come on and they won't work.

yea, if they listed all tires by 26x10x15 or 28x10x15 etc. it would make it a ton easier but when looking for this tire I made a generalization, in order to get a height to width ratio I figure a 50 is a good place to start with a Drag Radial that isn't as common or doesn't have as many size choices as a standard radial tire.

I couldn't find anything in between the 275 and the 325 50 15 on that site although if it was a snake it probably would have bitten me I don't mind beating the inner fender in a littler or removing the quadshock but would prefer not to put that wide of a tire on it if it does still rub occasionally.

Well, let me give a quick explanation. A 275/50-15 tire is 275mm wide, and the sidewall height is 50% of the width (275mm). So the 275/50-15 is about 26" tall, a little less actually. While a 325/50-15 is a little less than 28" tall. A 275/60-15 is also about 28" tall.

So you really need to decide how wide a tire you want, and how tall a tire you want, and then you'll know exactly what size to get.
