Are all CAI created equal?

Is there a major difference in output with different CAI? From the mods everyone does in the forum there seems like there are quite a few different kinds of CAIs. what kind of increased output can be expected with a CAI and a tune? And, do you guys take the CAI off if you have to go back to the dealer for warranty work?

Most repair shops wouldn't bat an eye to having an aftermarket CAI installed. If they do, it takes 15 minutes to reinstall the old one.
