Are Proform and Flex-A-Lite interchangable?

My fan blades on my Proform 15" electric fan recently came apart. Rather than buying a new fan, I see Flex-A-Lite makes replacement blades for there 15" fan running about $30. Both fans look identical. Is it possible to drill the rivits out, remove what's left of the old blades, and install Flex-A-Lites replacement blades using rivits or small nutts and bolts? Any input would be great on this. Really would save some money to.

(Not that I have seen both side by side) The proform fan is a direct copy of the flex-a-lite fan but is made with cheaper components...

I personally don't like the idea of re-building a fan when it needs to be balanced for longevity and safty of the radiator.

You could try it. It could work, but I would test the fan out before you reattach it to anything valuable.

Being that the proform had no balance to it, was just rivited onto the fan motor, I think as long as the mounting platform off the fan motor is the same I'll be good to go.
